Healthcare robot company Bodyfriend (CEO Seong-gyu Ji and Heung-seok Kim) announced on the 19th that it has appointed the world-renowned roboticist Dennis Hong as its global ambassador.
Professor Dennis Hong, appointed as the global ambassador, is a prominent figure in the field of robotics, often referred to as the "Leonardo da Vinci of Robotics." He has made significant contributions to the field, including developing the world's first car for the visually impaired and creating the first adult-sized humanoid robot in the United States.
Now serving as Bodyfriend's global ambassador, Dennis Hong expressed his admiration, saying, "I was amazed to see Bodyfriend realizing the dream of roboticists: 'robots that bring benefits and happiness to humans.' I will do my best to promote the 'Robotics Technology' that allows the body to move and massage deep muscles."
Bodyfriend and Professor Dennis Hong plan to visit each other’s research facilities, including Bodyfriend's Healthcare Medical R&D Center and Hong’s Robotics and Mechanisms Laboratory (RoMeLa). Both parties agree that Bodyfriend's 'Robotics Technology' will significantly advance home healthcare technology. In the future, Bodyfriend intends to expand the application of robotics technology jointly with Dennis Hong's research team at UCLA and continue to develop healthcare robot technology.
Through collaboration with Global Ambassador Professor Dennis Hong, Bodyfriend aims to convey its new brand philosophy with credibility and transform the existing massage chair market into a healthcare robot market, strengthening its brand competitiveness. Bodyfriend announced plans to promote its healthcare robots and technological capabilities through various media channels in partnership with Professor Dennis Hong.
A Bodyfriend representative stated, “Together with Professor Dennis Hong, we will expand and enhance our proprietary 'Robotics Technology' and healthcare robot technology. We aim to widely promote our brand philosophy of extending human health span through Bodyfriend healthcare robots.”
